About the Team Back to Main Trip Page
Picture left to right standing, Joe Wearly (Springboro, OH), Don White (Waynesville, OH) , Jeff Frazer (Dayton, OH), Woody Russell (West Richland, WA), Billy Hanlon (Waynesville, OH), Mike Zellner Jr. (Auburn, PA), Don Cima (Waynesville, OH), Gary Bair Jr. (Auburn, PA), Yogi Bair Sr. (Port Carbon, PA); kneeling front left to right: Dave Harris (Palmyra, PA), Dave Thompson (Schuylkill Haven, PA), Eileen Thompson (Schuylkill Haven, PA).
Joe Wearly (Army Corps of Engineers back home), our gentle, wise & fun team leader kept us organized... in spite of other forces toward the chaos side.
Chris Bartush (Orwigsburg, PA) is not shown, he arrived a day late to accommodate a family responsibility. Chris was our crane operator (amazing) and owns Bartush Sign Co. back home.
The rest of the group brought diverse talent and experience: Mike Zellner, a guard, pro-wrestler & dad with all around talent; Gary Bair Jr. his own construction business; Don Cima recently retired as project manager on hospital construction; Billy Hanlon brought experience in construction, management and a creative spirit with a photographic eye, and the list goes on. All brought hard work and fun.
The Ohio group came together. The PA group, except for me previously worked together and came together. And with the "extras", the experience and the spirit of cooperation the team found friendship and it's stride early on. A great group to spend two week working with.
Also not pictured are Joe Gagnon, the UMVIM summer project manager (an Alaska Resident), and Bruce White, Don's brother, who signed on to assist Joe. Thanks to both these leaders.
